What are the NFL odds that two consecutive Super Bowl teams meet up on Thursday Night Football. Well, tonight is the first NFL for a ball game of the regular season and the Green Bay Packers will be meeting up with the New Orleans Saints. These are our past two-year winners of the Super Bowl title and it is expected to be a fairly close game.
NFL Odds Gives Nod to Packers
For those that are keeping up with the NFL odds, it looks as though that this game could be a tossup. Originally the Packers were favored coming off a Cinderella styled season. They were only 10 and 6 last year but really came on strong during the playoffs. They even did this as several of their team members were on the sidelines due to injuries. This year the Packers are healthy and are expected to perhaps even make a run for a second Super Bowl title.
New Orleans should never be discounted. They did experience a very lackluster season last year. If Drew Brees is able to remain consistent and if he has the support of the offensive line, the Saints could make a valid run for it. The defensive squad needs to keep the points scored to a minimum and they need to pull out the big games. New Orleans is certainly ready for the game against Green Bay tonight and it could certainly be a lot closer than the NFL odds currently have it. Right now the Packers are a 3 1/2 point favorite.
